Covid 19 update: February 2021

Due to the uncertainties caused by changing travel restrictions, we have made the difficult decision not to take any further bookings until the situation becomes clearer

Covid 19 Policy

With the situation evolving continuously, we will do as much as we can to help keep guide you. Last minute surprises and disappointments aren't in anyone's interests so our aim is to be as clear and up-front as possible. We understand that you want to get away and enjoy that well earned break, so we've introduced the policies below to address the most common concerns.

Cancellations & Refunds
If the Scottish government advice is to avoid non-essential travel or overnight stays at the time of your booking, you can either choose alternative dates or receive a full refund at your discretion. Any refund would be paid within 7 days of cancellation.

With high demand for campsites, access to clean water and waste disposal facilities may be limited in some areas. Typically these would be needed every 2-3 days depending on the number of people. To protect the environment, we need to ensure waste is disposed of responsibly, so some pre-booking will be needed.

In addition to normal cleaning, we are using a medical grade disinfectant process between hires. The product is designed for use in ambulances, laboratories, medical and veterinary consultancies, offices, schools, and air conditioning systems. This provides assurance that the vehicle is completely disinfected, giving you confidence that any risk of contamination is reduced to the same as you would expect in a medical environment.

Vehicle Turnaround and Handover
To allow sufficient time for disinfecting, cleaning and attending to any defects, vehicles will remain out of service for a minimum of 24 hours between hires.
On return, the vehicle will not be inspected immediately, so if any damage or shortages are found after you have left, we will send photographs if possible and you will be given the opportunity to return and inspect / challenge our findings.

Unfortunately we have had to increase hire rates to cover the additional vehicle downtime and the high cost of aerosol disinfectant. We have also had to increase the minimum hire duration to spread these costs and reduce the frequency of potential exposure to the virus.
